As the weather gets colder and fall comes around I find myself being a little bit bolder with my lip products. You can go for a mauve toned nude or spice it up with a deep berry lip. Im super picky with my lipsticks, especially when it comes to the formula. I need something that glides on, doesn't cling to my dry lips, and lasts a decent amount of time. All of the these lipsticks live up to my high expectations and that is why they are essential for fall.
The most dramatic (but still wearable) fall lipstick I wear is Kate Moss by Rimmel - 107. This is a classic. It is a red lip stick with a strong berry undertone. Its matte, but not drying on the lips at all. Plus, its only $6.98 CAD.
A recent purchase of mine is the NYX Matte lipstick in Merlot. This is similar to Rimmel 107, but slightly less red and more mauve toned. Its not drying on the lips at all, and lasts a decent amount of time.
MAC Syrup is a staple for me. It is a lustre, so its a sheer and hydrating. MAC describes it as a cloudy pink. I agree, but it also has a strong mauve undertone which makes it perfect for fall. But to be honest, I wear this the entire year. This is my perfect "my lips but better" lipstick.
The Revlon Kissable Balm Stains came out a few years ago, but I'm finding myself going back to the shade Honey. It is a brown toned mauve which actually stains the lips (nothing to intense). This product is really comfortable on the lips and has great lasting power. It also smells of peppermint!
The last fall lipstick is the Nars Audacious lipstick in Anna. Man oh man this is a nice lipstick. This is probably my favourite lipstick formula of all time. Although it is a neutral smokey rose colour, it is super pigmented so you can build it up to be quite bold. You get the best of both worlds with this lipstick. For an everyday lip, I'll tap it on from the bullet and pat it out with my fingers. This gives it such a pretty, soft look.
